Mulching of lonely tree

While mulching a separate tree or bush, you should draw a circle around its trunk, size of a half of the tree head. Mulch surrounding the conifer trees, can be the same size as tree head or even wider. You should unroot all the weeds in the desired area, remove the upper layer of soil (5-10 cm), loosen it and water it well. If preparing the mulching area under the conifer trees, you should be cautious about their roots at the surface.

Mulching of plant groups

Soil does not grass under the similar or various trees or high busies, as far as it is shadowed.  Then you should not only mulch it properly but also properly compose a group of plants. Area for mulching must completely cover the non-grassy soil. Under the group of dense bushes, mulch is poured around the entire group, and also between the bushes, as possible. The mulching area should be a projectile of grown leafage on the ground. After lifting and fastening the lower branches, you should remove the upper layer of soil, cut the dry branches, loosen the soil and water it well.
Decorative wood chips are poured in a layer of 5-10 cm. Remember that by pouring too big amount of mulch you will harm the plant, and by pouring too little of it – you fail to achieve the desired result.

Mulching of flower beds and potted plants

Before mulching, weed out the soil, water it and pour the mulch. While mulching the potted plants, remove the upper soil layer, if necessary. Decorative wood chips for potted plants are poured in a layer of 2 cm.
